Interior

The Fortuner has a modern and spacious interior and seats up to seven people in three rows. The first and second rows have a decent amount of legroom and headroom. The third-row seats are tight and are best left for kids.

The dashboard of the 2025 Fortuner is net and everything is well laid out properly with control within easy reach from the driver’s seat.

It has soft-touch surfaces and leather upholstery on higher trim levels. The steering wheel is also leather-wrapped and has the feature of tilt and telescopic adjustment.

Performance

The 2025 Fortuner comes with two engine options, the 2.7 Liter DOHC 16 Valve Chain Drive with Dual VVTi petrol engine and the  2.8 Liter DOHC 16 Valve Diesel Engine. The 2.7L engine generates a maximum power of  122KW while the 2.8L engine generates 150kW (3000-3400rpm) and a torque of 500Nm. These two powertrains are paired with a 6-speed Automatic Transmission.

The Fortuner has a reliable 4X4 system that enables it to smoothly navigate through slippery terrains when off-roading. Its double-wishbone front suspension and four-link coil spring rear suspension also provide with good balance when driving rough terrains. The Fortuner is also equipped with off-road aids such as Hill Start Assist (HAC) Downhill Assist Control (DAC) and Active Traction Control (A-TRC).

Safety Features

The 2025 Fortuner comes with vehicle stability control with Hill start assist control and traction system control, active traction control, downhill assist control and limited-slip differential system. Other safety features include; SRS airbags, drive start control, tyre-turning angle information, emergency brake signal, light reminder, shift-lock system, anti-theft system, and anti-lock braking system.
