 Interior

The Interior of the 2021 Toyota Prado has been updated and is now more refined than its predecessor. Switches and knobs are large and easy to see, while the main controls are light and easy to use.

The 2021 Prado now has a lower center console, a new digitized instrument cluster, an 8.0-inch infotainment system with smartphone integration, a flush-fitting climate control panel, and new material finishes.

The multimedia system has also been upgraded with faster software and screen response, and it supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Standard features include; Three-zone climate control, a 14-speaker JBL hi-fi system, satellite navigation, and a USB port.

The 2021 Prado seats up to 7 people across three rows. The first and second-row seats are comfortable with ample legroom, headroom, and shoulder space.  The seats are also eminently comfortable for short drives and long trips. The rear seats are a bit tight for taller people and are best suited for kids.

The seats in the third row can be folded up or down electronically at the touch of a button.

Boot Space

The 2021 Prado has a boot capacity of 620 liters with five seats in use. With the third row in place, the space is reduced to 129 liters. With the third and second-row seats folded, the capacity increases to a very handy 1833 liters.

Exterior

The 2021 Prado features a modern look that catches the eye’s attention. The front end features a full dark chrome front grille and rear garnish. It also has LED headlines, daytime running lights, and fog lamps. In addition, the 2021 Prado is equipped with special 18-inch aluminum wheels with a black coating, large fog lamp bezels, door mirrors, door belt moldings, and a clear rear lamp cluster. There are also side step bars and roof racks that add to the Toyota Prado’s look.

The rear of the 2021 Prado features newly shaped taillights with a C-shaped motif a revised bumper and a smaller garnish plate.

Color options in the 2021 Prado include; White Pearl Crystal Shine, Super White II, Black, Black Mica, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, and Dark Blue Mica.

Stability And Handling

The 2021 Prado offers solid performance and handling. Although it shares mechanical elements with the Hilux, the Prado is a much more comfortable proposition.

It uses hydraulic power steering, which provides precise control on and off the tarmac. The six-speed automatic transmission is a smooth unit and the Toyota has powerful brakes.

The 2021 Prado is also equipped with Drive Mode Select which offers five driver-selectable modes: Comfort, Sport, Sport +, Normal, and Eco.
